Master of Science

The Master of Science in Criminal Justice is designed to prepare students to lead and innovate in the fields of public safety, including both sworn and non-sworn professions. With an emphasis on leadership, ethics, evidence-based strategies, and critical thinking, students will develop data-driven decision-making and problem-solving skills to address complex challenges in the field. They will apply criminological theory, management strategies, and research-driven approaches to authentic scenarios, while also gaining expertise in communication, resource planning, and strategic thinking. The program further emphasizes organizational performance within criminal justice agencies, equipping students with the skills to enhance operational efficiency, implement policy improvements, and drive institutional effectiveness. Students will explore methods for evaluating and recommending organizational performance improvements, ensuring accountability, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
