Cybersecurity (Minor)

The Cybersecurity minor will provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to understand, protect, and defend digital systems in a world where technology and security are increasingly interconnected. Students will build a foundation in core cybersecurity principles while also exploring the human, legal, and organizational dimensions of the field. They will develop the ability to analyze vulnerabilities, implement defensive strategies, and consider ethical responsibilities in protecting information. With opportunities to engage in authentic learning experiences across multiple disciplines, students will strengthen their problem-solving and technical abilities while connecting cybersecurity concepts to fields such as computer science, information technology, or criminal justice. This program will empower students to complement their major area of study with specialized expertise that enhances career readiness and positions them to succeed in diverse industries where digital security is critical.
