Nursing Education (Post Master's Graduate Certificate)

The Post Master's Certificate in Nursing Education is intended for registered nurses who hold a master's degree in nursing, a doctoral degree in nursing, or are matriculated in a nursing doctoral program and would like to obtain knowledge and experience in the role of the Nurse Educator. This certificate program emphasizes the use of evidence-based practices in teaching and learning principles, curriculum and instructional design, and evaluation research in various settings. Graduates of the Post Master’s Certificate in Nursing Education will utilize best practices to create innovative learning experiences that integrate new technology and model professional practice in diverse healthcare settings. The program is based on the competencies and practice standards defined by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) Essentials of a Master's Education and the National League for Nursing (NLN) Core Competencies of Nurse Educators. Graduates of the Post Master’s Certificate in Nursing Education program meet the educational requirements for the Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) exam offered by the National League for Nursing.
